Use Glass to Open Up Your Home

Glass is making a comeback on the interiors scene and it’s easier than ever to revamp your home with glazing and let in the light. Here’s some of Houzz’s tips on using glass to dazzling effect.

Play with layers of glass to add depth: not only will your living spaces look super-sleek, but light will flood through your home. Frosted-glass works particularly well with open-plan spaces, and Houzz recommends frosted-glass room dividers, which are right on trend but also have a hint of retro about them.

For a more bold vintage look, consider going ‘industrial’ with Crittall metal-framed windows or by sourcing vintage glazing. These complement neutral palettes and exposed brickwork, but be brave: vintage windows can look great repurposed as room dividers, which gives them a modern, playful twist.

Our own suggestion would be to invest in some stained glass, whether vintage or modern, for a fabulous talking-point that would surely shake up your interior.
