The Three Dormer House in Toronto brings the outside in, creating an airy home with plenty of natural light.

This works perfectly with the palette of neutrals and cool hues - these tints of blues and greys are set off nicely by touches of charcoal and olive green, which help to define spaces and lift the overall design.

However, this combination of colours is deliberately low-key, allowing the stunning furniture to really shine.

The bucket-style chairs are a particular highlight, creating focal points in many of the rooms and pairing perfectly with the coffee tables.

Lighting is another key feature of this design, and the conical lampshades suspended over the kitchen have a slightly surreal, floating look when viewed at the right angle, providing a modern twist to the design.

We also love the rugs dotted about the scheme, which enhance the existing colour palettes and add interesting patterns (the walls of this design remain mostly blank).

The green and grey rug in the third picture is a favourite, with a strong geometric pattern with a post-war feel.
